AfroFuturism VS Renaissance Art What is AfroFuturism? Futuristic Fantasy Alternate history Black excellence  Vibrant Heroic AfroFuturism Renaissance Futuristic Vibrant Colors African American individuals Fantasy Non Religious Theme Classic Dull Colors Roman and Greeks Realism Religious Theme AfroFuturism and Renaissance art both have a serious tone to them but they are totally different art genres. AfroFuturism has a theme of black futures that stemmed from history. Whereas Renaissance art has this classic and religious theme. AfroFuturistic art typically has vibrant colors in it’s artworks. Renaissance art has a dull color tone. AfroFuturistic art gives off the energy of black excellence and heroism, whereas Renaissance art gives off the energy of realism of Romans and Greeks.
